Anisotropy in High Energy Nucleus - Nucleus Collisions
The predictions of event anisotropy parameters from transport model RQMD are compared with the recent experimental measurements for 158A GeV Pb+Pb collisions. Using the same model, we study the time evolution of event anisotropy at 2A GeV and 158A GeV for several colliding systems. For the first time, both momentum and configuration space information are studied using the Fourier analysis of th...
متن کاملHigh energy factorization in nucleus-nucleus collisions
We derive a high energy factorization theorem for inclusive gluon production in A+A collisions. Our factorized formula resums i) all order leading logarithms (g ln(1/x1,2)) n of the incoming partons momentum fractions, and ii) all contributions (gρ1,2) n that are enhanced when the color charge densities in the two nuclei are of order of the inverse coupling– ρ1,2 ∼ g . The resummed inclusive gl...
متن کاملSuperstatistics in high energy physics: Application to cosmic ray energy spectra and ee annihilation
We work out a superstatistical description of high-energy scattering processes that takes into account temperature fluctuations in small volume elements. For Γ-distributed fluctuations of the inverse temperature one effectively obtains formulas similar to those used in nonextensive statistical mechanics, whereas for other temperature distributions more general superstatistical models arise. We ...
متن کاملconstruction and validation of translation metacognitive strategy questionnaire and its application to translation quality
like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...
Inelasticity for hadron-carbon nucleus collisions from emulsion chamber
The inelasticity of hadron-carbon collisions for energies exceeding 100 TeV is estimated from the carbonemulsion chamber data at Pamirs to be 〈KC〉 = 0.65± 0.08. When combined with data on hadron-lead collisions taken at the same energy range it results in the K ∼ A mass number dependence of inelasticity. The evaluated partial inelasticity for secondary (ν > 1) interactions, Kν>1 ≃ 0.2, suggests...
